Convert Videos to iPhone/iPod/iTouch MP4 Compatible in Ubuntu or Linux Mint

This tutorial will show you how to convert any video file to iPhone, iPod, iTouch, iPad mp4 compatible format in Ubuntu usingg handbrake.
HandBrake is an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded video transcoder, available for MacOS X, Linux and Windows. You can convert videos to iDevice just with few clicks.

1. First install handbrake.
For now, the latest version is 0.9.8 and ubuntu user can install it from ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases.
Open terminal from the dash home or press Ctrl+Alt+T, execute three commands to install handbrake:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install handbrake-gtk
2. Use handbrake to convert videos to iPhone/iPod/iTouch
Once handbrake installed, you can easily convert the video with following steps:
  1. launch handbrake and click the button to choose the video source.
  2. Choose your device under presets menu at right box.
  3. click button to Start Encoding

The output file will be saved under $Home/Videos directory.
