Install Salience Dark theme on Ubuntu or Linux Mint

Salience is a dark GTK+ theme (designed to be used with FS Icons Ubuntu), featuring a complete approach, in the sense of delivering a full/complete dark theme (with right-click menus, etc). You can install this theme on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal/Ubuntu 12.04 Precise/Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric/Ubuntu 11.04 Natty/Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid/Linux Mint

The GTK+ theme is definitely (judging by its look) designed with an in-depth attention to details, touching numerous small yet relevant in action desktop corners, furthermore, the user, from the very beginning, observes originality and pleasant integration with the overall desktop look&feel:

titlebar's buttons have different shapes, starting with the big orange close button, easily identifiable and closable, followed by the minimize/maximize properly proportioned buttons
Nautilus' search area is rendered with a thick orange border that adds a fancy and integrated aspect
indicators/text are, when clicked/active, highlighted with Salience's orange color, thus allowing the user to easily spot the navigation on the dark Unity panel
Firefox gained modified scrollbars, that mimic Ubuntu's Ayatana Overlay Scrollbars, taking, via the mentioned resemblance, Firefox a step further into proper visual integration with the Ubuntu desktop
Chromium/Chrome features fancy orange scrollbars, too with a minimalistic orange line across the scrolling area

Installation of Salience theme on Ubuntu or Mint, open Terminal and enter following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:salience-team/salience-devel-ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install salience-theme
